Aundrea Matthews

Dr. Aundrea Matthews is a scholar-activist, cultural strategist, and an engaging speaker. She received her M. A. in Religious Studies and a Doctorate of Philosophy with a concentration in African American Religious Studies from Rice University. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a M.A. in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. Aundrea has participated in study aboard programs in Africa (Ghana, Senegal, Gambia, and Egypt), Europe (Spain, England, and France), and has done ethnographic research across the United States, with a particular focus on the Southern region. Her experiences and interests allow her to offer non-profit organizations, companies, governmental entities, and institutions of higher learning cultural insights, effective marketing concepts, educational awareness programs, and persuasive engagement strategies that resonate with multi-cultural and multi-religious communities, both nationally and globally.

Dr. Matthews has professional experience working with nationally acclaimed scholars, artists, political and religious leaders, professional athletes, and community activists to make a positive social impact on future generations. She uses Religious Studies, the Sciences, and the Arts to create innovative programs that address social justice issues, reduce truancy and gang violence, and increase academic achievement in secondary schools, as well as inform and inspire the American public to improve their communities with an entrepreneurial streak.
