Rodney S. Jones spent his formative years growing up on the South Side of Chicago, and afterwards was raised in a military home in Killeen/Ft. Hood, TX. As a young college student at The University of Texas he chose to forego the completion of his college degree in exchange for assuming full legal custody of his two younger sisters. Since then, he has gone from being a licensed financial professional to managing sales teams of Fortune 500 companies. His true passion is engaging in the professional development of today’s emerging leaders. To that end, his debut book titled, Corporate Swagger™: The Secret To Winning the Corporate Game, is a means to uncover unspoken rules of soft skill development that help people gain a competitive advantage in their respective work environment. Since 2018 Rodney has served as a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston. He has been a mentor in the organization since 2009 where he has helped defend the potential of local youth through one-to-one mentoring. Rodney’s social life spans the spectrum from “choir boy” as a member of the Houston Symphony Chorus to the “dirty athlete” having completed 17 Spartan Race obstacle courses.

Rodney quantifies his achievements by the successes of the people who have sought him out for help. Stories of promotions, effective job interviews, increased personal productivity, and presentations that were knocked out of the park headline just some of the tangible benefits of the people he has served. His ability to hold people accountable while at the same time inspiring them to be a better version of themselves allows his audiences to have an instant return on investment. In the end, his main objective in any endeavor it to empower the “underdog” to compete on a stage they’re statistically not qualified to be on- and WIN!
